Acitiviy Descriptions:

Cooking Up A Storm: Using a traditional recipe, measure & mix to create yourself a take home bag of yummy treats. Be careful you might find it so yummy it won’t even get home!! (Limit 30. Book at reception. Sessions suitable for primary age – 15y/o children. All children wanting to participate must book a spot)

Reading, ‘Riting & ‘Rithmatic:  Be on your best behaviour as the School Ma’am shows you how to behave in the 1870’s Common School. Dress in period costume, role play & use slate boards. Don’t misbehave or the School Ma’am might have to get her cane out & you don’t want that!
(Age: Primary School. Limit: 30. Book at Reception)

Necklace Creations: Come and make something that’s gorgeous and unique that will make you stand out from the crowd when you combine it with your latest outfit or fashionable ensemble! Great for presents too.

Felt Bag Buddies: Sewing is becoming a lost art. One hundred years ago nearly every girl and many boys learnt how to sew, now very few do. We would like to be able to keep the art of sewing alive. In this activity stitch your very own bag and decorate it with fabric patches to make a fun, handy and useful accessory.

Origami for kids:   Origami originated in Japan and is the art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures. Come and learn how to fold a paper boat that actually sails, an animal snapper or a paper banger.

Glittering Seahorse: The seahorse is one of the many beautiful sea creatures found in our ocean. Come and make your very own sparkling, shimmering seahorse to brighten up your house.

Quilling: Learn the traditional art of quilling using colourful paper strips. Use your decorations to make your next party invites or birthday cards.

Pop Up Puppets: Learn how to make a pop up puppet in this fun session. Make your puppet into any character you want. Once you’ve made one you won’t want to stop!
